Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor and defender Kolo Toure look certain to return for Saturday's Premier League visit of Burnley to Eastlands.

Adebayor and Toure missed Sunday's goalless draw at Birmingham with ankle and heel injuries respectively, yet have trained without issues over the past two days.

Left-back Wayne Bridge and striker Roque Santa Cruz are doubtful and rated as 50-50 by City manager Mark Hughes with knee and ankle problems.

Burnley manager Owen Coyle could be tempted to name an unchanged side.

Full-back Stephen Jordan is expected to face his former club after overcoming a thigh problem sustained in the victory over Hull last weekend.

Burnley are still without Martin Paterson, Chris McCann (both knee) and Jay Rodriguez (ankle) through injury as they aim to pick up their first point on the road.

Penalty awarded by referee Stuart Atwell (here we go) and up steps the unflappable Graham Alexander to slot the penalty into the bottom right-hand corner - no heroics this time from Shay Given.

Burnley goal: Forget the FA Cup, we've got a giant-killing on our hands in the top flight. Robbie Blake sends Chris Eagles away down the right and his cross is tapped in at the far post by Steven Fletcher. There are appeals for offside - not even close. Burnley, without an away point so far this season, have put the cat amongst the pigeons at Eastlands.

Man City goal: Shaun Wright-Phillips pulls one back for Man City, although there's more than a touch of fortune as his low shot deflects off of Steven Caldwell of Burnley and creeps inside the far post. Game on.

2-2 Kolo Toure

Man City goal: Back on level terms - now how strong are Burnley? Gareth Barry's floated free-kick finds its way to the back post and Joleon Lescott turns it across the six-yard line for Kolo Toure to slot in at the far post.

3-2 Bellamy

Villa goal: James Milner slips the ball to John Carew with his back to goal. The Norwegian turns, brushes Zat Knight aside in the process, and then bulldozes past Gary Cahill before slamming home. Fantastic strength from the big man.

3-3 Mcdonald

Burnley goal: Unbelievable scenes at Eastlands. A ball into the City box is headed across the six-yard box for sub Kevin McDonald to slot in past Shay Given. What a point this would be for Burnley. And what a point it would be for City, in a very, very different way.
