We should have a Vojvodina challenge on FM.

I started it the other day, by challenge I didn't really specify anything.. just to play them really.

They've not won a trophy for something like 20 years, so I guess that could be one, although I don't think it'd be too hard.

Not done much so far, lost my first two friendlies. Their media prediction is 3rd.

:p

16 teams, one domestic cup.. as I've not played it much I'm not sure if this team of Stoik's are in the UEFA Cup (Only champions get the CL spot).

Their team isn't that bad what they start with to be honest, wing backs and the wingers are poor, everything else is quite ok.

(any chance a mod could move these posts to FM forum? I don't want to ruin the poor guy's thread. :p )

In FM10 first season they play in the Europa League.

They finished fifth last season but that wont be taken in to account until the new FM.

They got knocked out in Q3 but Austria Vienna

Not going very well so far. :D Only played 4 games though, all friendlies.

D1 L3. Trying to bring in a few new players, but they keep being poached to other teams.

I have two friendlies left, and then there's a month gap until the first league match, I can only assume that in that gap there'll be UEFA Cup qualifiers.

Watch me end up with Villa/City. :hmm:

The positive thing is my first XI don't do too bad, more often than not I'm going 1 goal up in games.
:p
Then when I play my second XI for the second half (for fitness etc), they get spanked. :p

Sounds weird but I actually find reading or listening about FM more interesting than actually playing it now!

Keep us updated with your challenge

Sounds like a troubled start but things are in hand - get yourself a fitness coach and stop playing your second XI. How hard can it be? :D

Small update since I've not played much yet.

I drew some Cypriat(sp) team in the UEFA Cup 3rd round quals, beat them 2-1 away, then hammered them 7-0 at home. Perfect, I thought my team were the Brazil of Serbia.

Weekend after, first league match, lost 2-0 away. I still need to sort my tactics out with this team, I changed it from the 7-0 thrashing to something a little more not-so going attack.

Got drawn against Steaua Bucherest in the 4th round quals, got beat 3-0 in the first leg at their place, again I think I screwed up with tactics, I should've just stuck to my own plan of trying to nick an away goal, but also trying not to concede.. but at 1-0 down I went more attacking, and got spanked for it.

Not been on since then, got a home match next in the league, then I'm at home to Steaua, can't see me beating these 7-0!

I take it no one else is bothing? :p

Yeah Vel, I signed a winger for either side, both in starting lineup, one is on loan though. I've signed a couple of defenders, no idea what their names are but I'm pretty confident they end in 'vic'

Only played two games since my last update, won 3-1 in the league at home.. and I played Steaua in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Quals.. was 3-0 down after first leg. Steamed ahead 2-0 in second leg and then they came back into it, with 10mins to go I went for it going all out attack but conceded on the break, ended up finishing 2-1 (4-2 agg).

Comfortably won my 4 home games so far, I just need to sort out how I play away!

Good for you Reedo, home wins are a good start and I'm sure it'll pick up with your expert management.

Played one game since my last update, drew 2-2 at home, but against one of the top teams.

Next season I'll be in the Champions League, I hope. ;) (I won't count on it though).

Not been playing much 'cause I was a bit pre-occupied last week, but I'll be looking to pick this up again in the next couple of days.

Lol Con, expert management my arse. :D
