While Universal Pictures reportedly plans to shoot the sequels without a pause, the yet-to-be-titled Fast and Furious 6 might have its release schedule pushed back.

Fast and Furious 6" and "7" could be filmed back-to-back. According to LA Times' 24 Frames, Universal Pictures has been considering the next "Fast and Furious" films to be shot without a pause, with a single plot interlinking the two movies.

Screenwriter Chris Morgan is currently working to finalize the idea of the storyline. Multiple sources additionally said that Justin Lin, who directed the last three "Fast" movies, is also set to return as the helmer.

The untitled Fast and Furious 6 was scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on May 24, 2013. However, the new back-to-back filming plan might push back the release date because Lin should finish the shooting of the seventh movie before he moves on editing the sixth one.

Though it is still in early phase of pre-production, "Fast and Furious 6" is expected to kick off shooting in Europe in 2012. Recently, it has been rumored that Jason Statham might join Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson in the sequels.

However, there are no official words from the British actor about his involvement in the franchise.

If they are as good as the last one they should be awful. My favourite part in Fast 4 was when the Rock dropped all his morals and ethics for 5 minutes, then after brutally murdering his fellow colleagues, he rejoined the force with no questions asked.

Who are you to question the rock?

Again it's a safe movie trading off a strong brand as long as they can get the regular crew together a poor story will still get plenty of people through the box office.

I thought they were clutching at straws making Tokyo drift which apart from a 5 second cameo from Vin Diesel had no relation to F&F whatsoever.

I enjoyed Fast 5 and have no idea why it got slated so much. You know what you're going to get with these films. I'm actually looking forward to 6 because of the ending credits of 5.

Tokyo Drift was good if only for the amazingly hot girl in it. The things I would do to her...

Oh yeah I forgot the whole "back to life for no reason" twist.

That's what I mean stick a few hot birds in it some ridiculous cars and then add the rock and people will go and see it even if the story is b*llocks.
