 Yeah I watched it last night, it must get written just days before it is shown now.
There is a funny bit about a French crew 'surrendering' their ship too.

Animated comedy South Park has returned for the second half of its 13th season.

The first episode after a six-month break for the show aired in the US on October 7 and will be broadcast in the UK tonight at 10pm on Comedy Central.

'Dead Celebrities' is penned by Trey Parker and features animated versions of recently-deceased stars, including Patrick Swayze, DJ AM, Farrah Fawcett, telesales adman Billy Mays and others.

The episode centres around Kyle Broflovski's brother Ike, who is possessed by the spirit of pop superstar Michael Jackson and forced to enter a child beauty pageant.

The episode also boasts parodies of TV show Ghost Hunters and movies The Sixth Sense and Poltergeist.

The newest episode with Butters is the best I've seen in a long time.

Erm my perceived anti-Apple bias? :angelnot: :nur:

Must be the techie in me as I don't usually like South Park, but this was funny (if a little disturbing).

The Asian turfwar one just after that with Butters' schizophrenia is one of the best they've ever done

Yeah I did love that episode. The last episode they put out did seem to suggest they're getting sick of doing the show though.

Which one is that? I don't think I've seen the last one or two.

Yeah that's the one. Seemed like they were either want to pack in or want a big break from it.

Oh really? Can't say I got that impression, but then I'm not the most perceptive of people.

Be such a shame if they did pack it in, I think the stuff they're making now is some of the best they've ever done.

This sereis has been excellent.

That last episode was a bit of a game-changer. There have been others though, such as the death of Chef or the move from 3rd to 4th grade ( ) yet the show goes on. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I dont think they will pack it in..in fact im sure I did read that they were under contract for a couple more years anyway. From what I understand though they've been busy doing a musical as well as the South Park episodes..could just want a break. Or they could've just done it to annoy all the people who say "ugh South Park is sh*t its just the same toilet humour every week"..wouldnt be the first time they've done an episode just to annoy viewers.

Having watched it from the beginning, I'd say that the last 4 series have been the worst they've ever done (level with series 1 and 2). It was at its peak series 3-10, when the episodes had original ideas, and generally revolved around a character. Now they generally just seem to spoof anything that's currently popular. The problem with this is often they pick things that most South Park viewers would watch, and in 10 years they will be forgotten such as Jersey Shore. They should at least pick something popular among viewers (e.g. WoW, LotR) or something so big that is recognisable by eveyone, and even when it dies off it will still be recognisable (e.g. Pokémon, Karate Kid etc.).

South Park has been renewed through 2013.Comedy Central has confirmed that the long-running animated series will come back for two more seasons, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that the current season of South Park is due to return for seven brand-new episodes starting Wednesday, October 5 at 10pm.

South Park was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Animated Programme'. Since premiering in 1997, the series has received four Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as a Peabody Award for Comedy Central. In June,

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone dismissed rumours that the show is nearing its end, insisting that they have yet to grow tired of the series.

"We love South Park, that's still our thing," Parker said.

South Park is currently in its 15th season, which debuted on April 27 of this year.
