Yes - Liked some older stuff, then Marshall Mathers album was my fave, liked his stuff with Dre and D12 (a little) too. And I've only heard the few mentioned on here. Will give it another listen I suppose but he's not been my taste for a while... Sing for the moment was probs the most recent one he did that I liked.

Cool..

Well, the Relapse album he did was absoulte sh*t(IMO) with maybe 2 or 3 good tracks( I think I liked a few more at first but quickly became sick of them).

Recovery ive liked alot better though.

Cold Wind Blows
Talkin to myself
Love The Way You Lie

Are the three I think ive liked the most so far. Also like Wont Back Down, just due to the(what I consider to be) crazy beat that he's tapping too..and the speed/rhythm of which he has to deliver the lines.

Not Afraid is decent. As is No Love(featuruing What is Love by Haddaway as the sample) is also pretty good. Not too sure I could listen to much of Lil Wayne though.
Quite like So Bad and Cinderella Man too.

There's a few I cant get on with though. Going Through Changes(Ozzy Ozbourne being the sample on this one) I dont like..and think the chorus kills it everytime it comes on. Space Bound I dont like either. Plus a couple more.

Imo, the album is brilliant. Space Bound, Seduction, Love The Way You Lie and Cinderella man are quickly becoming my favourites but there is only the one i don't really like and thats the one with pink released before the album.

Ah I really like the one with Pink, all the bits except the chrous with Pink anyway :p

It just seems like he's decided to pick a hard beat to rap to and showed off his ability to use anything.

Dont like Space Bound at all though..cant get into that one.

Was listening to it on my way back from London tonight, You're Never Gone is another quality tune.

I wouldn't say i'm a huge fan of rap itself, Eminem was a standout artist for me. Since the Slim Shady LP he's released so many top quality songs. I've got his 'Infinite' album floating around somewhere, the beats aren't as solid and the delivery of the lines not as sharp but you can tell the lyrical genius is there.

As for other artist I listen to you've really just got the regulars, I'm very out of touch with music atm. Currently waiting to see what Asher Roth does was his next album as i thought his 'Asleep In The Bread Aisle' was quality but too short and I think Drake could have a very bright career in front of him.

I am, despite Boro's disbelief before. :D As I said, I do like Dre and his gang, NWA, early Snoop, early to mid Eminem, MC Tunes (British rapper) erm probs a few more.

I had to search Asher Roth though... another Eminem clone.

Not at all Con. He states in his songs that obviously Eminem inspired him he remembers listening to him as a kid (would of been 14 when Slim Shady LP was released) but they're certainly different.

He's 25 and is looking at a very sucessful career imo (I've no idea how well his album actually done)

Different in what way? You heard much earlier Eminem? Stuff like this:

Sounds like the Roth bloke is more the same than different? :dunno:

Course i've heard it as i said i've got Eminems infinite album which sold 600 copies when released, those songs have probably been played over 3/400 times on my PC...and drove me mum insane

However, As the world turns and Brain Damage both have deep meanings behind them, I don't see how Lark in My Go Kart is anything like either of them songs. As the world turns turns is a calibre above anything Asher will ever produce.

He's not just a clone.

The quality of the songs aside, I still think he sounds and is trying to sound like Eminem, even some of the words used are similar. One man's clone is another man's derivative I suppose... imo he's like the new teeny-pop clean version, radio friendly for added profit.

I bought his new album the other day, i quite like it. Over, Show me a good time, Up all night and Light up are my personal favourites. It's a good album imo.

I quite like Kano if anyone's heard of him?

I don't like it. I like Eminem. I like the Marshall Mathers LP. I can listen to that Album ad infinitum I'd guess. But Recovery? Nope, I've got it. I don't like it I'm having to lump it. :(

Hip-Hop stuff I'm into tends to be very 90's centric, Jurassic 5 and Blackilicious are on my iPod numerous albums. The flow from those guys is amazing and they've structured extremely good music with it.

I'm not massive into the rap scene so I tend to like the older stuff. Much like Con in terms of taste on that one.

Also not sure which camp/genre he lies in but Lupe Fiasco is a guy I want to hear more from. I have food and liquor (which I find raw but full of potential) and The Cool (a very slick production and the talent is there for sure). Apparently The End is the next album but I've yet to hear anything in terms of him working on it or releasing it.

Lupe has got some good tunes, him and drake have done a few together Go Go Gadget is my favourite from him. Check out Joe Budden. Not so sure what his newer stuff is like but 4-5 yr ago he was pumping out song good tunes. Don't Lie Ma and I Try ae two i can remember off the top of my head.

I think to like this Eminem album you really have to have followed his story over the past 5 yrs it's not an album someone will just pick up and like. He's basically telling a story of his feelings over this time span

The song for proof is brilliant 25 to life also amazing. Not any songs on there you like TNNE?
