That was an incredible performance from MvG.

The post above pretty much sums this post up.

He just whitewashed Taylor 7-0 on the first night of the PL.

Unthinkable that Taylor could be whitewashed. A year or 2 ago it was unthinkable that he could be beat at all. MvG is a machine :bot:

Taylor lost something like 4 stone in 6 weeks and changed his darts again. I know he is searching for perfection but he always struggles in the early rounds of the worlds as its such a short format.

I saw Taylor on the TV the other day and thought he looked a bit guant obviously lost a lot of weight which in darts has a big effect as it's all about muscle memory.

I don't watch a lot of darts but MvG is such an exciting player when he's playing like this the speed and ruthlessness of his play will attract people to the game as it's box office.

For me one of the reasons I like watching sports is watching people do things I can't and I play a very casual level of darts in the pub some time but when you see someone like MvG it blows your mind as to how he manages to do it.

Taylor has been such a dominant force in the sport and I'm sure he'll be back once he adjusts to his new darts and weight probably because it would be awesome to see both him and MvG play each other in a big final with both playing at close to their best.
