isn't just that snooker is only big in China these days, so that's where they'll go.

I have no interest in watching it, I like playing though

Not really. There are an increasing number of events in China, but there are now events held pretty much every other weekend, and they all carry ranking points. So if you decide you only want to play in the European tournaments for example you'll tumble down the rankings pretty quick.

It's bringing in a lot more money into the sport, and taking players to new venues where new fans can see them, which is all good, but you imagine spending 50 weeks of your year on tour, playing in China one week, India the next, then Germany, then Canada, then Australia... screw the money, that's gotta be hell doing that travelling, and if you have a family then you wouldn't want to do it.

People keep saying it's becoming a young man's sport, and it is, because once you put down roots you don't want to be on the road 50 weeks a year.

You know what Paks like. He's probably voted JSP for woman of the year or something.

Watching this final. They're beginning to look human. Some major errors from both players especially one easy pink that was frame ball for Ronnie after previously messing up 3 or 4 oppertunities on the green. Great final so far in terms of edge of your seat stuff as they continue to miss chances. Ronnie 15-13 down. With this frame in the balance.

Thought with him and his family. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Had testicular cancer last year. Deserves a break not more terrible news.

Ronnie turned down the 147 break again yesterday saying the prize money wasn't good enough. Opted to hit a 146 instead.

He's done this a few times though hasn't he?

Almost like he's doing it to prove a point and get the sport attention.

I'm sure if they could afford to offer more than the £10k prize they would but there's not huge money in Snooker.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barry Hearn & Ronnie O'Sullivan are both in on it as it attracts headlines to a competition that otherwise wouldn't be getting much coverage and it might help attract a sponsor who'll pay.

Last time he done it the ref asked him to pot the black and he did he was also told in the future he'd be charged with bringing the game in to disrepute (he was leaving it at 140) however this time can they really have a go at him for getting a 146!
