Decided to get involved in a fancy league as play an online game with a few Americans and they said to give it a go with em. Got Lynch in my side so not a bad start. Quite enjoyed the game with having a reason to be interested.

Was in Dublin over the weekend and ended up going to watch Penn State vs University Central Florida who I'm guessing were having a bit of a pre season friendly over there.

Actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would there were just a few to many stoppages which I assume were for TV other than that a good day out :fonz:

Arsenal shareholder Stan Kroenke is set to invest in a major new development which could see an NFL (National Football League) franchise return to Los Angeles, according to the LA Times.

Los Angeles is the United States's second city but does not currently have an NFL team.

Kroenke owns the Rams NFL, who are currently based in St Louis but were located in Los Angeles until 1994.

The American plans to build an 80,000-seater stadium in the Inglewood suburb.

He is the majority shareholder of Arsenal, owning 66.94% of the club.

Inglewood Mayor James Butts said: "This proposal doesn't ask for nor will ever be offered any public funds, so what you have here is a developer, Stan Kroenke, who has invested in Inglewood and we are glad to have him here."

Kroenke has partnered with real estate firm in Stockbridge Capital Group, which owns the 238-acre Hollywood Park site in Inglewood.

"This is a perfect location for a venue like this," said Christopher Meany, a senior executive for the joint venture, Hollywood Park Land Co. "I don't know of a place that compares to this."

However he added that any decision on relocating a franchise was "entirely in the hands of the NFL".

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon said in a statement: "St. Louis is an NFL city and I am committed to keeping it that way."

Tottenham have agreed a deal with the NFL to stage a minimum of two American football games a season over 10 years at their new stadium.

The 61,000-capacity venue - due to open in 2018 - will feature a retractable grass pitch with an artificial surface underneath for NFL games.

"We have an opportunity now to deliver one of the most unique sports, leisure and entertainment venues in the world, bringing together the Premier League and NFL for the first time," said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

"We have a compelling and exciting partnership that will play its part as we begin transforming this area of Tottenham."

The NFL began holding some of its games in the UK in 2007, with one franchise - the Jacksonville Jaguars - agreeing a deal to play one fixture a season at Wembley from 2013 to 2016.

Every one of those "International Series" games has sold out - bar Chicago's win over Tampa in 2011 when tickets went on sale late.

NFL UK managing director Alistair Kirkwood told the BBC in October that only this year's Rugby World Cup prevented them from staging more than the three fixtures scheduled for Wembley between 4 October and 1 November 2015.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the National Football League "share a vision" with Tottenham, who are themselves reportedly keen to play at Wembley while White Hart Lane is redeveloped.

In order for the new stadium to work as a regular NFL venue, Spurs will incorporate larger changing rooms into its design to house squads of up to 50 players and large numbers of coaches used by franchises.

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, said: "The wise heads that run the NFL have clearly not missed the fact that Londoners are going absolutely gangbusters for Gridiron.

"Touchdowns in Tottenham can only add to our reputation as a global sporting powerhouse and help us take another step towards our goal of having a permanent NFL franchise in London."

Last season I did because friends were odd and needed an even number which was why I started watching.

This season I'm in that league and another with some Americans I play online with. $25 in a bit of fun!

Pittsburgh D is all over the place tonight.
