Anyone done this yet?

A few of my friends have started to get nominated so I guess it's only a matter of time.

If you do get asked to do it remember to remind people to donate otherwise you're just a tw*t pouring water over your head not saying you have to donate but make sure you remind people to donate at that is the whole point of it. I wasn't a fan of all the celebs who jumped on the bandwagon with it but didn't mention the whole reason for doing it in the first place in the videos.

I don't have a link to it but the story behind it is amazing and I'm sure if you google ALS ice bucket challenge you'll find the video.

I'm not a fan really, although I have been nominated.

Matt Damon's one sums it up for me.

Also, someone posted teh accounts for the ALS charity, 0nly 7% of donations go towards research. With a whopping 63% on other program activities.

Most of my friends have already done it so I thought I'd got away with it then I got nominated today so I guess I'll have to step up!

You would imagine that as they receive more and more donations the % that actually goes to research should increase as the cost for running the charity shouldn't increase at the same rate as I imagine most of the costs they have are fixed costs.

It's for a good cause and if you can afford to donate then hopefully it'll help make a difference and raise awareness of what is a horrible thing to go through the guy who started the whole thing was a college athlete fit as a fiddle he's not unable to talk and will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
