I couldn't quite work out WTF was going on, what planet to visit, what team to take to the planet or what I was meant to be doing.

I have only ever given it about 20 mins in total

That's the beauty of it, you can go to whatever planet you want to visit and use whatever team you want to use.

I generally don't care too much about the graphics or atmosphere. But when playing a game based on a comic book character whose normal arena is either on paper or on tv/film you already have a hope or expectation of what you want that universe to be like when you play in it, and i just think they nailed it. It was a bit dark and creepy and... Batman-y. At least it's the batman of recent years anyway rather than that Adam West batman era style.

Not sure what genre it fits into.. What would you put Tomb Raider as?

Batman is a third person Action / stealth/beat em up /adventure... I guess?

I still love a simple indie game though. Like And yet it moves or Limbo.. Or Braid.

Not saying you must like batman or anything, I'm sure people find it boring cos it just isn't there style.

But some people don't like monkey island. F*ck those guys. :p

That's a good point, I'm not a Batman fan at all, and I'm not a fan of the dark way it's portrayed either so maybe that's the difference. I've never even seen the comic book version, but the 60s version was fun... POW!

Tomb Raider was always, at heart, a platform game, with timed, precise jumps between ledges, with a few puzzles thrown in between. That said, I've not played it since the first one.

I've played something similar to And Yet It Moves, but it was a flash game my kid showed me. Quite original which is great to see, just not for me as I was never a platform or a puzzle fan. But there are some cool, yet seemingly unrecognised for some reason, flash games out there that are a cut above and can be more fun than off-the-shelf games, stuff like management sims, tycoon games, etc. Dunno how he finds them all, but they're great some of 'em. Gaming might not be dead afterall, just don't look towards large corporations for anything creative.

Monkey Island sucked lol. :ninja:

I found my PS1 and PS2 the other day with all my old games. Might give the original Tomb Raider a run out.

Was it Tomb Raider 1 or 2 that had the Great Wall of China in it? Used to spend ages just swan diving off of that and watching Lara's neck snap as she hit the rocks below... fun times.

haha!

Glad it wasn't just me that made her dive to her death. I used to do it on 2 or 3 from the top of some really high building. It was tremendous fun.

Con...I do like the odd flash game, a lot of the ones I find are more time killers than invested games like..I usually go to places like armorgames.com or addictinggames.com for that sort of thing.
