That's a horror story I sure hope that didn't happen to me, because I turned my xbox off last night with the little spinny white circle thing going after waiting about 15 minutes for the first mission online to launch. I'll find out later tonight

Got it, not overly impressed so far. Not done much in though apart from play golf, just got Michael.

Find it really hard to out run the cops, been killed by them loads.

Try not to race away from them so fast, because it'll seem like another police car spawns from nowhere.

Take lots of turns.. swapping cars and hiding also confuses them. Depending on your wanted level the first few stars, they won't bother chasing you off-road so it's really easy if you can find a bit of land where they won't go.

I find that the faster you drive away, the more chance there is of bumping into more police, and it becomes a chain of police interceptions. They are a pain though at times.

ah cheers. I had a couple of hours on it last night and am beginning to enjoy it more. The character wheel tells me both characters have missions but I do find it to locate them  I think I managed it in the end by just driving round and going home a lot.
I'm getting better at the driving so losing cops is getting easier, I tend to get out the car and hide in bushes  wimp.

had a game of tennis, got batterd 6 - 0 but I got close in some games. Best round of golf +5 at them moment

I guess you've all finished this, I only play a couple of hours a week, just got to Trevor and done his first 4 or 5 missions. I do a lot of side missions on my travels too.

Enjoying his missions.

I find the easiest way of losing the cops most of the time is to go up to the hills and drive off road, as Reedo said unless the helicopters are out they won't find you.

I've found that hiding under a tree/in a bush in the wilderness will see off two police helicopters at once (as long as they don't see you go in).

I hid under one on a quad with the back end sticking out, lights all over me, and wasn't noticed.

Not been on GTA since the new FM beta came out. The online play can be fun.

Managed to get 5 stars the other day
Shot up a bar then hid behind the counter. Just kept lobbing grenades through the door and picking off any cop who dared come in. Was going for about 20 mins. As soon as I made a run for it I was absolutely destroyed.

Spent half my money upgrading my car only for it to vanish. Not in garage not in impound  it was way too fast to handle though

Thats the problem then. If cars arent insured the insurance company wont replace them! :dunce:

I didn't see an option for insurance.

But, I thought the whole point was do a car a up, put in your garage and it will always be there or in the impound.

Turns out that only works with cars that haven't been done up..

No if you insure the car the done up car will always be available. You get insurance in the spray shop.

Edit: Are you using the same character that did the car up to retrieve the car?

Finished as much as I'm going to do,

About 75%

1 mission left but don't know how to start it.
1 or 2 pieces of scrap/UFO found but thats just too random, no logic
1 or 2 races done, don't like those
A few of the radio active sub stuffs things to find.

So considering there is quite a lot left to do it' s been one of if not the best value game I've bought. It must be 5 or 6 weeks worth of play for me, a couple of hours most nights.

I havent played that because I read that when you get killed all your money gets nicked. And I haven't accumulated much money. Can't afford to but properties yet so I don't want to lose it. Have about 500 grand each
