Some VERY interesting ties there.

Maureen going back to the Bridge with Inter

But the pick of the round has to be us getting AC Milan AGAIN, with Becks returning to OT. Time to get a bit of revenge, methinks... after all, Milan have dumped us out quite a few times.

Haha, Mourinho back at Chelsea!!

AC Milan is tough but, provided we have a defence by then, I think United will sneak it.

I think it's a fairly predictable draw personally, my predictions:

Stuttgart V Barcelona - Barca
Olympiakos V Bordeaux - Bordeaux (probably)
Inter Milan V Chelsea - Will be one to watch but I would be more than surpirsed if Inter got past Chelsea
Bayern Munich V Fiorentina - Bayern
CSKA Moscow V Sevilla - CSKA, but could go either way I think
Lyon V Real Madrid - Madrid
FC Porto V Arsenal - Arsenal
AC Milan V Manchester United - pick of the draw, will be tough but I expect us to overcome the pensioners + Pato.

Do they do the draw for the next round now or at a later date? I can't remember. They'll be the ones to watch.

In terms of the outcome it is fairly predictable, but I think there may be a couple of shocks along the way. Lyon and Fiorentina have proved themselves to be worthy contenders for any team and we may be surprised. But aside from that I can see the outcomes you've posted.

First leg of the ties will be played 16th/17th/23rd/24th Feb next year; with the second leg on 9th/10th/16th/17th March.

The draw for the next round (quarters), semis and the final is made on the 19th March 2010.

Fulham and Everton got poor draws. The "Big Four" should all progress.

I would've liked an easier draw but at least we've got a crackin' game. Becks will get an excellent reception when he comes back.

Jose back at Chelsea :fonz:

i don't know..... would you not be dreaming of Ajax or Juve coming to Craven Cottage.... is that not the point, rather than playing FC Earwax every round?

Or FC Urinal :hmm: still if Liverpool want silverware it is a nice draw to start with. Looking at the seeded and non seeded teams this afternoon and it was hard to place a lot of the sides in either part of the draw. There are a lot of good sides in this runners up league, so should be a good tournament. <trying to convince myself> at least we avoided Turkey.

<feel free to take the Michael, they deserve it :whip: >

Channel 5 , Thursday night with Colin Murray   I know.
