This could be our best chance of CL football. So I am hoping we go all out for this trophy.

Draw for the next round is at midday

Big news from yesterday was probably Spurs getting knocked out even though they fielded a strong team in both legs they were one of the favourites for this tournament.

Lyon won 7-1 vs Alkmar
Roma beat Villareal 4-1 over 2 legs
Borrusia Monchengladbach knocked out Fiorentina

I want Utd to get strong teams in this tournament while I want to win it I think this team needs to experience tough away games and learn how to win them to help them when we are hopefully back in CL next season as this team aren't that experienced in the big tournament.

I think Roma would be a great draw they've got a good side but they are the sort of team Utd should be expecting to easily beat over 2 legs these are the habits we need to get back into.

The all German tie and Lyon v Roma will be juicy.

Gent v Genk. :fonz:

Long way for our boys to go.

I think to win it, you'll have to beat at least 3 good teams.

With the draw and the teams that face eachother are there really 3 good teams in it we can draw.

I fear no one in it and the two toughest ties in Lyon and Roma have eachother

Away trips to Russia are good practise for our squad just a shame for our fans not a good one for them didn't we have a Russian side in the group guessing they'd have much prefered a trip to Germany or Belgium.

Did Rostov beat a big team in the group stage? Got a feeling they beat Bayern or someone like that

Always hard to tell how good these sides are as I don't really know much about them as their leagues get little exposure over here.

Anderlecht v Manchester United
Celta Vigo v Genk
Ajax v Schalke
Lyon v Besiktas

Decent draw for Utd if we get through as one of the other strong teams will go out Lyon & Besiktas on paper are our 2 main competitors.
