Brentford 0-1 Boro

25 minutes gone game being played at a frantic speed and sounds like a great atmosphere

Absolute domination. I wish their manager the best, a properly nice man who deserves to do well. Screw the rest of them, bunch of c*nts.

Let's be avin em.

I like our chances but I'll never be a confident Boro fan.

Full strength and we're a cracking team though.

No not this time. Just watching it with family up here. I can't stand this to be honest. I've never been this wound up before a game.

Arguably the best game to win as a fan in English football nowadays even ahead of FA Cup final but the flip side being it must be the worst to lose.

Didn't turn up at all. Too many bottle jobs this season.

How fit do you think Bamford was?

I thought apart from Adoma who was threatening but not always delivering quality no one really turned up they seemed to freeze on the big stage whereas Norwich embraced it. Maybe having a few more experienced prem players helped them on the day that starting XI had all played in the prem and maybe that helped them.

The defending on the 1st goal was a shambles and the keeper made it so easy for Jerome

He either wasn't at all fit or just completely went mentally. Has barely trained since the first leg of the semi.

Vossen I thought worked hard. Adomah had moments and I think Friend tried relentlessly as he always does, worried someone will try to buy him to be honest. Other than that they all seemed to freeze. Ayala handing them that first goal was just surreal, been a rock all season. Clayton was shocking. Tomlin missing, Bamford missing.. Etc

Just a hugely disappointing day.

I wonder if the decision to arrive 1 hour before kick off back fired as the players didn't really get a chance to let the adrenaline of being at Wembley die down a bit added to the fact they also arrived late because of traffic maybe meant they didn't prepare properly which might explain the slow start.

Definitely won't have helped. But not enough of an excuse for the terrible performance for me... You shouldn't need a walk around just to get in the right mind set to win a game worth £120m

I think playing in front of 90,000 people on such a big occassion a bit of extra time just to get used to it might have helped it might have also helped swallow up some people who were scared but I think there's an argument to say a bit of extra time to just walk around would almost make the surrounding feel normal by the time the game kicked off.

I don't really like the fact they keep putting a £ number on it as that isn't what it should be about for those players it's the chance to play in the big league and I'm sure financially they'd all be in line to get a bit bonus if the club went up.

For a lot of the Norwich lads who came down last season they probably know the numbers better as they probably took big wage reductions following relegation they knew if they win they'll be back up to the contract they had when they signed for a PL club plus I think the extra experience maybe helped them.
