Did I say they were dirty?

They were strong worker types players like Henry, Hunt, Berra, Elekobi & Doyle not technically blessed but they work incredibly hard and make it very hard for them to play against. If you weren't up for it they'd run you off the park and give you no time on the ball.

Last season that just wasn't there when I saw them that team spirit had gone and there were factions in the team and the fans were quick to turn on them. Once that atmosphere sets in players find it hard to play at home as they're scared of having the ball.

It was just a bad place to be last season and it can happen at a club West Ham & Newcastle had it when they went down and you could see it at Wolves last season.

you said they kicked people?????

Hunt and Elokobi weren't regulars.

Rest of it is right.

Maybe kicking was the wrong word but reading later posts you can see what I actually meant by it.

There are two types of teams in the prem those who get the ball and play to express themselves others work hard and play the percentages wolves for me were the latter. They scraped and battled occasionally crossing the line doing it but they were good at it and got results to keep them up.

They tried to change that and be a passing team but they just weren't very good at it and paid the penalty.

West Ham have made an improve bid for Jarvis. Supposed to be around the £10m mark.

Must be approaching £30m the club has received in transfers. Anyone got any idea of players they've brought in?

50/50, I reckon. It's a pretty well run club but it's no use just sitting on the dosh. However, as their sights have never been set really high, it may well suit them.

I think they'd like to spend it but they need to buy from football league players who are used to that level.

They don't need to bank the cash they're well set financially but they won't just throw it away

It's a shocking decline, arguably they've got their last 3 managerial choices wrong. Connor couldn't save them, Solbakken never seemed to get the players onside, and though it's early days Saunders doesn't seem to be turning things around (has he got the experience to do the job?).

Would be disaster for them to wind up in League 1.

It would be something.

I still think they wouldn't be in this mess if they'd kept Mick. Probably would've gone down still but I don't think they'd be near the relegation zone in the Championship.

I agree, Mick is at least a proven Championship level manager, something which none of his successors have been. Connor was out of his depth from the beginning, Solbakken had no experience in England, and I don't think Saunders has enough experience full-stop.

You would have to think that they could sweep League 1 away if they were in there next year, given the disparity they'd have in finances with the parachute payments, but they'd probably have to put a new squad together as players may accept going from Premiership to Championship, but how many will want to hang about in League 1?

It's similar to Charlton that he's taken us as far as a he can mentality well the heights McCarthy took them to were probably higher than they should be. Wolves might consider themselves to be a top flight club but the record books show they have only been one sporadically over the last 30 years.

I'm no McCarthy fan but he did kick start this decline by trying to change the playing style, unsettling the squad by taking the captaincy off Henry & signing some expensive flops. He probably would have been sacked when they were relegated but I tend to agree if he'd taken them into the Championship they wouldn't be near the bottom of it as he knows this league.

But they are a massive club, I'm told, so it'll all work out.

Saunders has been sacked following relegation strangely the club he left Doncaster have now been promoted.

Wolves are in a right mess from a stable looking Premiership side to League One in two seasons.

They should have either sacked Mick earlier and given the replacement a chance of keeping them up or stuck with him.

Sacking him with less than 10 games to go was a massive mistakes.

Am I right in saying the fans protested against Bruce taking over which is why they ended up having to appoint Conners?
