Stoke confirm Fuller arrest
Stoke City have confirmed that striker Ricardo Fuller was arrested after an incident at a nightclub on Sunday morning.
Fuller was accused of assaulting a 21-year-old man in the bar area of JFK nightclub, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Staffordshire Police said the victim suffered minor facial injuries and did not need hospital treatment.

The incident, at around 1am on Sunday morning, came just hours after Stoke's 3-0 Premier League victory over Blackburn, in which Fuller played 78 minutes.

A statement on the club's website read: "The club can confirm that Fuller was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning following an incident in a nightclub in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. We will be making no further comment at this time."

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "At 1am on Sunday February 7, an incident occurred at JFK nightclub in Trinity Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, following which a 30-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault.

"He has been bailed pending further inquiries."

The Jamaican, who joined Stoke in August 2006, is due to report back to police next month.

Fuller was arrested almost a year ago under suspicion of driving offences and was sent off last season for slapping former team-mate Andy Griffin during a 2-1 defeat to West Ham.

Which one of you is RJ... You're a c***.

Ah that rant still makes me smile. Was classic red mist rage for no real apparent reason.

He's manager of Newcastle being mental and ranting comes with the territory.

As for the original story I imagine whoever Fuller smacked in that night club is still swaying right now as he's absolutely massive.

As is nearly anyone in that Stoke team, but yea Fuller is a unit. Hope he hasn't smacked someone, but football(ers) lets me down more often than not now.

Depends on the situation some people deserve a smack and I imagine football players get there fair share of stick on a night out from rival fans and people showing off to their mates. So it's difficult to criticise him without knowing the full story.

Like you said the other side of it could well be the guy innocently knocked into him at the bar or spilt a drink on him and Fuller went for him.

I swear Fuller when he left Preston and went to Pompey was a bit of a rake very lanky. Then he went on the Stoke diet which appears to be eat a cow a day and spend 8 hours a day lifting weights and he turned into an absolute tank. When he's on his game he must be a nightmare to play against.
