Tottenham Hotspur Target Bordeaux Winger Geraldo Wendel
The fresh Spurs rumours is music to the ears of the Brazilian winger…

Tottenham Hotspur's apparent intention to purchase a left winger when the transfer window reopens has sparked speculation that Bordeaux winger Geraldo Wendel is on the Lilywhites' winter shopping list; the rumours have been welcomed by the uncapped Brazilian.
He told the press: "I have not received any official proposal, but I'm glad to have clubs like these who are interested in my football."

Wendel is currently in his fourth season with the French club, and played pivotal parts in the club's recent successful campaigns in the Coupe de la Ligue, and also the Ligue 1 championship last season.

Harry Redknapp's side have also been linked with Aston Villa's unsettled midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, in-demand Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill, and Marseille misfit Hatem Ben Arfa.

Bordeaux recently sold Gabriel Obertan to Manchester United for £3 million.

TOTTENHAM have renewed their interest in Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari after he fell down the San Siro pecking order.

The Ghana star, 25, played under Spurs boss Harry Redknapp while they were at Portsmouth but moved to Italy last year in a £14million transfer.

However, the arrival of Wesley Sneijder and return to fitness of Esteban Cambiasso have seen Muntari's chances limited at Inter and boss Jose Mourinho is ready to cash in.

Reports in the Italian press claim Redknapp could offer his former player the chance to join his White Hart Lane revolution when the January transfer window opens.

Muntari's agent, Frank Schreier, said: "It could happen. The two clubs are still talking about this case."

Mark Hughes keeping tabs on Liverpool midfield star

MANCHESTER CITY boss Mark Hughes is monitoring Yossi Benayoun's situation at Liverpool as he prepares for the January transfer window.

Benayoun has hopped on to City's radar after the midfielder was named on the bench for last Sunday's title-jolting 2-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Hughes has been given the green light to spend heavily again in January as he chases a Champions League place for next season and Benayoun is suddenly in his sights.

The Israeli midfielder was made a scapegoat by Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez for the earlier 2-0 defeat against Fiorentina in the Champions League.

He was dropped for last weekend's trip to Chelsea and only called on with just over 20 minutes left - further annoying Benitez by missing a golden scoring opportunity late in the game.

Competition for places in City's midfield is already high but Benayoun is well aware of their interest in him.

City will not be put off by the potential asking price although Benayoun signed an improved deal with the Kop club in the summer that runs to 2013.

He has never fully established himself as a regular starter at Anfield where his slight skills have not always been appreciated.

Even a Premier League hat-trick against Burnley last month failed to lift him in the pecking order.

AC MILAN are ready to use Dutch flop Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as bait to sign Tottenham misfit Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Huntelaar has failed to make any impact at the San Siro since his £12million move from Real Madrid - while Russian star Pavlyuchenko is now fourth-choice striker at White Hart Lane.

A swap deal could be on the cards though Huntelaar would expect to be given an extended chance in the Spurs team.

The Dutchman has failed to score in seven games for Milan this season but was previously one of Europe's most prolific strikers.

Milan are desperate to find some fire power after an abysmal start under new coach Leonardo.

And the Italian club have also been linked with former Inter striker Adriano who returned to Brazil to play for Flamengo at the end of last season.

Milan To Axe Klaas-Jan Huntelaar In January

The Rossoneri have reportedly decided Huntelaar's fate. The striker could be used as bait to bring in Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko, but Adriano remains first choice...

Milan have binned their wait-and-see policy on Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and are ready to show him the door during the January transfer window.

According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, the club's directors have already decided the Dutchman will be given the axe. The hitman has been disappointing at the San Siro, failing to impose himself under Leonardo.

With just six goals between Serie A and the Champions League, a crisis has gripped the club. The Rossoneri will now offer the Dutch forward as bait for other strikers.

The report suggests Milan are keen on former Inter striker Adriano, and hope to lure the Brazilian back to the San Siro.

Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko has also been added to their list. The Russian was linked with Roma in the summer, but that move never took place. It is said Milan may use Huntelaar to entice Spurs into a deal.

Report: Tottenham Hotspur Want Portsmouth 'Keeper David James
Reunion on the cards for 'Arry and 'Jamo'...

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is reportedly keen to sign veteran goalkeeper David James during the January transfer window.

The Sun claims that Redknapp is set to raid his former club yet again, having already signed Jermain Defoe, Niko Kranjcar and Peter Crouch since leaving Portsmouth to take over at Spurs last year.

The 39-year-old England 'keeper is allegedly looking to leave Fratton Park, worried that his club's lowly position may jeopardise his chances of being Fabio Capello's No.1 at the World Cup next summer.

James is valued at £1 million, a fee that could drop if Carlo Cudicini agrees to move the other way.

I heard Harry was going to try and sign Peter Storrie as chief executive, change the home kit to blue and get the crowd to sing

"Play up Tottenham, Play Up"

failing that he should have bought the club from the skint guy before the new rich guy got it, he could have moved the whole club to London then.
