Everton did not find Mustafi good enough to be handed a new contract and was subsequently released . he has gone on to shine in Italy and Spain & what Arsenal seemingly have is a highly rated defender.

Vlaar got injured post the WC and was touted to be on the move even to us, but got injured.

you never know, Indi might find his feet at Stoke

You do never know but we were linked to pretty much every member of that Dutch squad that summer because LVG was taking over the only one we actually signed was Blind then 12 months later we signed Depay.

The only thing I remember about Indi is a photo of him with big mad eyes lets see how he does

City preparing a £50m bid for Virgil Van Dijk

I like him but these prices are getting crazy £50m for guys who've not really proven themselves on the European stage

Only a couple of days after Chelsea captain John Terry was linked to Bournemouth, the speculation was dismissed as mere rumour.

Now however, it seems that Terry could well actually be open to joining another side, and thinks that if he does it with anyone, it may as well be with a side who will not rival Chelsea for the title – and could meet Eddie Howe as soon as this week.

After falling down the pecking order under Antonio Conte, it seems there may not be another way back for Terry at Stamford Bridge, so the player is looking for other options.

A legend

There are many ways to describe John Terry, and opposition fans will certainly have a couple of them, but to the Chelsea faithful, Terry is a legend.

That’s how he will leave the club, and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who would say otherwise in the corridors of Stamford Bridge.

Despite vowing never to play for another Premier League side, Terry may well have to do so if he wants to stay in England and actually take to the field – and you’d think the fans would forgive him for that. At least, as long as he doesn’t do a Frank Lampard.

West Ham in talks with Jose Fonte

Southampton looking to replace Fonte with Sakho but loan bid rejected by Liverpool.

My guess is Liverpool obviously want to sell if they can't they'll loan him to Saints which will release Fonte to West Ham but it might mean things drag on until deadline day.

Seems to me like a real sideways if not backwards move from Southampton to West Ham must be getting offered a big contract.

Jake Livermore having medical at WBA

West Brom also reported to be showing interest in Ighalo fee reported to be £17m  unless Rondon is packing his bags why are they signing this guy for £17m?

Van Aanholt Sunderland to Palace £12m close to goin through - seems odd that Sunderland are selling one of their better defenders I know they are skint and need to sell to buy and Van Aanholt isn't great but he is still one of their better players.

Joleon Lescott about to sign for Sunderland on a free transfer as he's currently without a club which given the way he acted a Villa is hardly surprising and he was released by AEK Athens

Begovic Chelsea to Bournemouth - apparently he'll be allowed to leave if Chelsea can get in a replacement as the 2nd choice he'd be an excellant signing for Bournemouth assuming he can be as consistent as he was at Stoke guess he just doesn't want to hang around.

West Ham have rejected a 3rd offer reported to be around £22m for Payet from Marseilles

Genuinly thought Markovic left Liverpool a couple of years ago. Had no idea he was still there.

Just checked he's been on loan at Sporting Lisbon but that loans been cancelled only played 6 games he was on loan to Fenerbahce last season and played 14 games.

He's a proper forgotten man cost them about £20m when they signed him as well.

They are properly in the sh*t though

Changing the manager has had zero effect on them, the squad looks unfit, players who performed well last season aren't performing this season, they've lost Zaha (at least he's back shortly) & big summer signings haven't really hit it off.

From what I've read Cabaye, Townsend & Benteke don't really seem to fancy it when the tide is turned against them.

Samba was a good PL defender and Palace concede loads of goals on set pieces where he might be useful to help but I can't imagine he's very fit but they just need players

Hull accept bid from Burnley for Snodgrass.

He'd be a great pick up for Burnley

Marseilles apparently have tabled a take it or leave it offer to West Ham for Payet that's a £15m profit on a player who clearly doesn't want to be there and based on recent performances the team are better off without. Take the money and move on would be my suggestion he's not worth the hassle.

Marseilles also reported to be in talks with Patrice Evra over an 18 month deal which would see him finish his playing career in France although Lyon are rumoured to also be interested.

Watford have signed Zarate on a 2 1/2 year deal

Remember him being one of those hot south american prospects a decade ago but think he took the money and went off to the middle east then he's kind of just bounced around Europe. Shows flashes of brilliance but never been that consistent.

Yeah he's one of those guys who will probably have 5 great games a season the rest of the time you wouldn't really notice him that much.

That said I'm going to Man Utd vs Watford in a few weeks so I'm already pencilling him in for a worldie free kick against us to put them 1-0 up if he's playing I'm having £10 on him first scorer.
